Starry Night
Andes Mountains, Peru
The sun had set and the afterglow created a lovely soft light across the landscape. The air was crisp and amazingly still. What to me looked like prehistoric flowers , as tall as they were, stood perfectly still , as though they too were mesmerized by the moment. The stars began to glisten in the sky. The mountains were wrapped in all of this. Every separate component revealed that it was part of the whole. I set my camera at a small aperture and a 30 second exposure... and it worked to capture all I needed, near to far in a single shot... satisfying yet surprising.
